Jamaican wedding Photos- Devon Shaw

Recommended Posts

For those of you that are looking for a wedding photographer for your destination wedding In Jamaica, I would highly reccommend the photographer my husband and I used, Devon Shaw along with his wife Sophia at Jamaican Wedding Photos. He was very professional and very understanding of my concerns of hiring someone sight unseen, now looking back I wish I wouldn't have stressed out about it so much because of pictures were beautiful! The only complaint i would have about this photographer is that he showed up about 5 mins b4 the wedding started, making our wedding co-ordinator very unhappy, and she was on my case about " so where is your photographer". All in all, if you are considering using this photographer or you are looking for a photographer for your jamaican wedding I would have no worries with this photographer :) They called me several times from jamaica to make sure i was doing ok with the reservations, if i had received my photos, etc. Awesome, awesome people you will not be disappointed!

Hi,

We work with Devon Shaw of www.jamaicaweddingphotos.com alot and he is one vendor that I know will be there and on time. I dont have to worry about Devon when coordinating an event.

Most times or at least all the times we have worked with him he is there at least 30 minutes to an hour before the wedding starts. Alot of the pictures in my event portfolio found at www.helengevents.com are from him as we do use him alot because his prices are reasonable and you also get the quality.

we just used Devon for my daughter's wedding. I have not received our pictures, but he arrived early to scope out sites for picture taking. He did appear to be alittle distracted on arrival, spending quite a bit of time on the phone, but after the wedding started, he was very professional. I thought his pricing was very competitive and he offered more in his price package. I can't wait to see the professional pictures!

I used Devon for my wedding May 29th at the Riu Tropical Bay Palace in Negril.

He did a FABULOUS job capturing our special day.  Our hotel had a photographer, but they only took a few pictures, so I wanted to go and find someone who'd take our ceremony and reception.

We had a huge destination wedding as far as those go, w/74 people including my husband and I.  He was able to take all the pictures we wanted and then we told him some specific shots we wanted as well.  It was a great day w/a nice sunset, so we were able to capture that as well.

He got one of the best pictures of my husband and his groomsmen...it was an awesome picture which my husband calls the Reservior Dogs picture.  I'll see if i can attach it.

I was quite nervous not having met Devon before the wedding, but he sure takes some great pictures and he'll cater to your needs and requests.

So rest assured if you have Devon take your wedding day pictures he'll take great quality pictures of your day to have and cherish forever!!!

Thanks again Devon for capping off our great day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
