Reception Dress is in & I'm so disappointed!

So, I ordered my reception dress a little over a month ago and I just received it today.

Anyway, The dress itself is beautiful, but the color is completely wrong and far from what the picture shows. The color is this worn out bright red, when the picture clearly shows a satiny darker red (one of my theme colors). I'm going to have to look for another dinner reception dress. I wanted to change dresses after the ceremony and first dances; I'll most likely stick with white this time to prevent this.

 

 

The dress I ordered was the Maggie Sottero: Amara Royale

(Here's the pic, but it looks very different in person)

I still love Maggie's dresses, I just wish the color was what I wanted.

Oh thats such a disappointment. I am sure you have been waiting for a while for it to come in. I would think because it is a rather well known company they would let you return it. Especally if its an issue because it doesnt look like it should in the photo. Thats not a size issue, thats a "Company Takes Inaccurate Photos".

 

I bet you can work with them on this issue. Maybe at least you could get them to allow a trade for another dress if their are any you like.

Thanks for the support, ladies. I will be trying to return it tomorrow, so I guess I'll see how it goes then.

 

Since my wedding date was moved, it's not a big issue with time and I have plenty of it to search for another dress. I was just really excited about getting the dress and it was just a let down once I did receive it. That's a good suggestion. I'll definitely look through other Maggie Sottero dresses to see whether I'm interested in an exchange if they're not willing to do a refund.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
