Sandals Antigua Brides??

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!

I'm looking to get married at Sandals Antigua in November 2014 (yep, a long way off yet!).  I've spoken to our local travel agent and she says that we can't even book our trip until June!

I've seen on this wonderfully helpful thread that there are a few pdf brochures available with options, costings etc.  I can't find these anywhere online and am so desperate to start planning how much this thing will actually cost.

I don't suppose anyone would be able to e-mail me these brochures?  I'd be so grateful!

Please drop me a DM if you can and I'll let you know my e-mail address.

Thanks in advance!  I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time on this thread - haha!

Katie

I'm really confused about the photgraphy options at the moment.  I think Sandals have us over a barrel when it comes to photos.

I'm also trying to find out what the cost is for the dinner on the beach.  I can't see it on the Sandals website at all.

I am bringing my own photographer and know I will be getting great pictures!! The dinner options are different depending on buffet or plated, and your guest count. Most start at $45 per person and go up to $75...

Hi Mary

I thought that Sandals did not allow outside photographers on to their sites?

Do you have guests attending your wedding that aren't staying at the Sandals resorts?  My travel agent has said there is a fee for guests attending that aren't residents but that she has to check what this is and get back to me.  I don't suppose you'd know?

You can bring your own photographer but must stay at resort and be booked as guest for a minimum 3 nights. Also if staying at another resort other than Sandals guest must have a day pass to enter. Not sure of price though!!!

As long as the photographer has at least 3 nights (whatever the minimum night is) booked they are allowed to be on site.

Below is what I was sent for the day passes

* Wedding Passes per adult (9am -6pm) from $200

* Full Day Passes per adult (10am -2am) from $420

* If you are having eight or more guests joining you for your private wedding reception and dinner, we have

established a special day pass rate of $150 for each non-resort guest, which includes the Private

Reception/Dinner cost of $75 per person. All Non-Beaches or Non-Beaches Resorts guests attending a

wedding at any Beaches and Beaches Resort must purchase a day pass.

Wedding Passes are intended for genuine guests and not third party providers of services. Use of third party

vendors for photography or other services that are offered by Beaches is strictly prohibited.

Hi ladies!

I am looking into any and all resorts right now. Sandals is absolutely beautiful, and I was wondering how some of you ventured through their packages. For instance, the free package has colors I love, but no dinner (reception) included.

However, I'd be willing to customize another one of the packages to have colors I like (e.g. exchange the flutter of romance pink for PURPLE! LOL)..

Has anyone had any experience customizing their package instead of doin a pre arranged one? Their customizing allows you to choose your own colors. I'd love to know how the cost compares to have a free package + add ons versus customizing your own from scratch.

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
