Hello everyone, Myles here.

First let me just say. . ."STD's". . .creepy term. . . haha

Nevertheless, here is a proof of our STD's I'm hoping to get a bit of feedback from everyone here. Sarah and I wanted to keep them simple but still get out all of the necessary information.

We're going to get them done as magnets from Vista Print.

Please let us know how they look, if we're missing anything etc.

Thank you,

Myles

Hey Myles! They look good.... only comment I have is the text (especially at the bottom) seems really small. Is there any way to make it slightly larger? Are you sending a letter, etc along with the magnet? Or is the magnet a stand-alone STD? If you have a letter with it with a little more detail, I think it's great!

They look nice. I, personally, would print the stuff on the bottom bigger as the magnet will be small and it may be harder to read. I assume they will be business card size..right?
Yes, they will be business card sized and will also contain a letter. . . but I can and will certainly make the text a bit bigger.

We wanted the save the date's the be fun and get people excited about the wedding and the destination. For invitation we're taking the classic more elegant approach. But I thought for initial excitment the "cartoonish" font and a nice bright caribbean beach would be a fun approach.

Thanks for the advice all.

Myles, is it possible to put the text directly on the picture, instead of in a text bubble? I just think it will look nice to see the beach and the water behind the text. Just at thought. I think it looks good as is though and you have included all the right info, as long as you put all the travel info and resort info on the website so everyone can get all the details. I think you might want to do a letter though for the computer illiterate people and maybe get a card from your TA to include with that magnet (that is what I did).

We will certainly include a letter with further details. And very good tip on the text. I'm going to play around with it and see what I can make happen. I'll post another proof when I have something that Sarah and I like.

Cheers,
M

Hi Myles!

It makes me want to go to that location! I think your guests will say the same thing.

I think it is very nice, my only comment would be to make the box with the text with square edges to mimic the shape of the card/magnet.

Nice work!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
