I'm actually sending these out soon...which I believe is different than the norm?  They are the first peice of information that anyone is getting about travel and booking, and our families/friends have been so anxious about when they could start booking, so any day now I guess.  I'm not actually finished with all of them yet!!  Where are you getting married lisa??

Good idea!! I am going to have so many extras, I was trying to think of a way to reuse them...maybe I'll but a white sticker over the whole back to cover up the writing and print my welcome notes on them too!!

How did you get  the inside pages to come out so smooth and clean at the crease? Did to use staples or glue I can't see anything... you did a really terrific job...

I actually used a zig brand scrapbooking glue pen to glue the pages together, and then used a slightly stronger card crafting pen to secure the paper to the cardstock cover.  I bought them both at Joann's.  I wanted everything to look as smooth as possible, which I why I didn't want to use staples.  Hope this helps?!

I am in awe of your invitations.  I keep referring to this thread for more information.  They are stunning.  At my sisters place trying to figure out the page layouts and dimensions now.  She is more computer savvy than I am.  What size is your passport again (all folded)? 3.5x5.5 or 5x7?

That makes perfect sense. I think the "norm" concept is thrown out the window with destination weddings. I'm sure your guests will appreciate knowing early. How many more do you have to make?

We're getting married June 21, 2011. We set up a site a couple months ago and sent STD postcards with the link. The site has tons of info so, at this point, everyone has a good idea of what to expect. I'm thinking we'll probably send out invites early January, requesting RSVP by April. We bought supplies for message in a bottle invites and, based on how great yours turned out, I'm thinking we may do passports for a welcome book. Thanks again for sharing and the inspiration.

Thanks Lisa..I only had to make about 25, so not too bad.  Although it is quite time consuming!!  I LOVE the message in a bottle!!  I was actually considering doing a message in a bottle for my wedding programs, like having the bottle on everyones seat and then once they go to sit they can open it up and the wedding program will me be in there? just a thought...right now I'm thinking i'll either do that or do a fan program.  Where did you buy your message in a bottle supplies?!  Do you think my idea of doing it for a program would work? I guess it would end up being more we'd have to take down there though too...just more to think about.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
