October 2010 Brides

Recommended Posts

I saw that there might be quite a few of us who are getting married in Vegas in October and thought maybe we could all talk about what were doing and the types of things were doing while were there.

Any elopements? Big weddings? Small weddings?

Any ideas on where youre eating while your there? What youre going to do after the ceremony...if youre not having a big wedding? Any shows that you're going to?

Me and FI are trying to come up with ideas but keep finding ourselves saying we'll wait till we get there. It'd be nice if other people had some ideas. haha.

Like I've said in a few other forums my date is 10.15.10 and we're eloping so it's just us to.

Looking forward to hearing from some of you. (Hopefully welcome4.gif )

Hi there

We're getting married on the 12th (Tuesday).  We're coming from  New Zealand, so we're going to have to do a few last minute things when we get there (such as hiring a suit, shoes, jewellery etc).  I'm also trying to find a good makeup artist.  any suggestions?

We've sorted the venue, photography, and restaurant.  We're getting married at the Valley of Fire through Scenic Las Vegas Weddings, and going to Maggiano's for dinner.  It's only a small group of us (13 including me and my fiance).  We're having the big party for all our friends and extended family when we get back to NZ.   Great way to keep the wedding small!

as for eating, a friend of mine used to live in Vegas and she has suggested the Paris buffet, and the mexican restaurant in MGM Grand (diego).

Other than that, we're hoping everything else just falls into place (or maybe I'm being naive?)!!!

How is your planning going?

Well, we were going to get married in April, but we're eloping (semi-eloping, our parents are coming with us) in October!

October 9th is the big day, and we're having our ceremony out at the Valley of Fire and then coming back to the strip for dinner at Mix or Top of the World.

I'm so psyched.  WAY better than planning a wedding!

Getting Married 10.10.10 at the Valley of Fire, and having out dinner at Lawry's the Prime rib. Starting to get super excited, sleeping has been tough.

WestXGrly make sure you get your marrige licence downtown before Sunday. Usually wedding dates that that significant numbers are one of the busiest times for weddings, and if you wait till sunday you may be looking at upto a 4 hour wait. (it even says that on the nevada county clerks website)

I am staying at the MGM grand.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
