Our first trip to DR was at this resort 9 years ago so when we got engaged in Dec we just knew that we had to get married there!!  We are having around 70 guest and  a pretty big bridal party also. I was hoping you can give me some advise.

Hi Ladies!

I am also getting married here in Dec. 2012! I have tons of questions about the flow of the wedding. I appreciate any info form brides who have gotten married there!

Suzie - What time is your wedding and where are you having the ceremony? Are you doing the private or semi-private dinner? Our reception is at 4:30 on the beach but I am considering moving it to the gazebo for privacy. Are you doing a cocktail hour before dinner or the beach party? What are you doing for photography? I was hoping to take pictures with my wedding party before the ceremony so we don't miss any part of the wedding. What are you doing? Sorry for all the questions! Do mind posting or PMing me when you are done a review of your wedding? We are expecting about 40 people. I just have so many questions about how the wedding day is going to go.

Hi Folks!

I just booked our wedding for June 2013!!!!!! My fiance and I are so excitedwink.gif.  About the menu, has anyone requested a five course dinner at the Palladium? We are planning on a private dinner with 40+ people (we'll see how many more we'll have by Aprilish 2013). We want the cocktail hour with cold or hot appetizers followed by a plated dinner with an hors d'oeuvre, soup or salad, amuse (palate cleanser) or intermezzo (i.e.sorbet), main course and desert. The menu posted by richarsd looks great!! Can we choose whatever we want from it? For folks that have gotten married--what do you think?

Hi Folks!!!

I'm new to this site! I've just booked our wedding at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana for June 2013. We are so excited! We are having a cocktail hour and private dinner with 40+ guests. I saw the menu posted by richarsd and I have a few questions that I want to ask former brides:

1. Is it possible to choose 5 courses from that menu? (hors d'oeuvre, soup or salad, amuse or intermezzo (palate cleanser), main course and desert.

2. Can receptions be held in a conference center ballroom instead of a restaurant?

3. Do you think we can have a signature cocktail for the cocktail hour?

Hi there,

1) You can only choose ONE item for every guest, it's not like a traditional wedding reception where guests have a choice of beef, chicken or fish. etc. So you would pick one appetizer, one entree and one dessert that every person will have. I believe they make an exception for a vegetarian and any children.

2) I've never heard of anyone wanting to use the conference center for a reception but that's a question I'd ask Carolina about.

3) I don't see why you couldn't have a signature cocktail for your cocktail hour. That is assuming you're talking about the cocktail hour you'd be paying for in addition to the one that is included in your package, again I would clarify that with Carolina.

If you go on this particular thread you'll find the answer to a lot of questions. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/14643/married-or-going-to-be-married-at-grand-palladium-punta-cana

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
