Grand Palladium Punta Cana Menus, Dancing, & Drinks

Recommended Posts

hi brides!!! Thank you all so much for your reviews on this resort, I am 90% close to choosing this resort and already have a date of July 22, 2011 reserved with the wedding coordinator Carolina. However, I still have questions about the reception dinner and cocktail hour options and would appreciate all the brides feedback that have been married here. Waiting to hear back from the coordinator can take days and it would be great to start finalizing some details. Here are my questions:

1- Cocktail  hour, options and prices (type of alcohol)

2- Reception dinner: is la Uva restaurant my only option if I want a private reception dinner? what exactly does semi-private dinner mean? Please send feedback for both options: semi-private and private dinners including type of drinks included.

3- my FI and I including our guests want to dance! I want a more traditional bride/groom intro and first dance.

What are the options for SPACE for dancing at the restaurants? I know the beach party has a dance floor set up for an additional cost, but do the restaurants offer space for dancing?

4- Finally, is la Uva restaurant enclosed? are any restaurants semi-outdoors?

Looking forward to some feedback and thank you in advance!!! :)

I'll tell you what I've heard until someone who's had their wedding already jumps in..

Cocktail hour for 2011, I'm still trying to figure out if they still do that, I asked Carolina almost a month ago no response it's not listed on the "extra's" she emailed me. But I heard people mention instead of doing a cocktail hour just having everyone meet up at Hemingway's (a bar at the resort) I'm leaning towards that and I figured I would just send my bridesmaids to reserve some space before everyone gets there

Unless you rent out the restaurant for 1000 dollars you cannot dance in the restaurants , so I was told.  Semi private is they have a designated area for your guests but the restaurant is still open for the rest of the resort

I hadn't heard anything about the a dance floor for the beach party, how much do they charge for that?

Thanks chell44. I am asking her right now if there is an extra cost for dancing even though I believe some restaurants have space for dancing. What resturant options did she give you if you don't mind my asking and which have you decided on?

Thanks!!

I too would be interested in the options for the cocktail hour! I just assumed they bring champagne and we hang out at the gazebo for an hour....I guess I should get my butt in gear and email Carolina and get some answers! We're getting married in January and I cannot wait!

Here is the attachment with cocktail hour info. $6, $7, or $8 per person, or you can always go to Hemingways bar and have cocktails there for no extra fee :)  the document she sent me is in Spanish since I have been communicating with her in spanish, let me know if you need a translation!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
