Cold in Cabo--February?

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I am curious about the weather in the beginning of February in Cabo.  I was in Cabo two years ago in mid-January and it was pretty brisk at night.  My sweater was my savor!

Our wedding is set for February 1, 2011 and I am nervous about the weather.

I know it will be waaayyy warmer than the tundra we live in--Minnesota.  But I just want to be prepared.  What are your thoughts?

I've done some research and it looks like the average temps are high 70's (probably for the day)....what do you think?

Thanks!

We're from Edmonton AB, Canada and getting married in Cabo February 18, 2011.  We were there last year around the same time and the nights are cool (you should reccommend your guests bring a sweater or a light jacket).

Going into the pool or being on the beach didn't phase us during the day, much like you we have super cold winters and anywhere in Mexico is better than snow!

Thanks Tammy!

Thanks, Ichimiyuki!  My thoughts exactly!  The cold weather has conditioned us!  Its spring/50 degrees in MN and people break out their shorts!  ha!

I am thinking the guys will have suits on--so they'll be good, women pashminas or sweaters, but I just can't imagine covering my gown with a scarf!  Boo!  I'll just have to deal with it...beauty is pain, right?!  Or I can dance the night away and keep my body warm with all the boogy-ing!

Thanks for your help!  Just being able to chat about it and knowing other brides are doing the same makes me feel better!

Cheerio!  Steph

We are also getting married in February!  Same day as you, Ichimiyuki, February 18th. Everyone is reallly looking forward to heading to Cabo in the dead of winter.  I am anticipating that the nights will be cooler, but looking forward to sunny days!

Wow, what are the chances!  What time & where did you choose to get married?

We're booked at the RIU Palace.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
