Thanks Everyone!!

Wow! Thanks for the pictures Tami (Foxytv) I really like the first picture for the ceremony, and also the first picture for the reception venues, Absolutely Beautiful!! Does anyone know how decisions regarding the colours for the wedding are decided?? I am starting to think of brides maid dress colours but don't know if the hotel will just have a set sample of colours to choose from (for chair decorations etc) I saw there was some orange in one of the photos. Also does anyone know how you choose your floral bouquet? Do they give you a choice of what they have, or can you say what you would like and have them make it??

Thanks

~Sarah

P.S. Courtney, Myles and I are both from Thunder Bay Ontario but we just recently moved to England, which of course makes everything a little more complicated as we are planning a wedding in the DR from the UK and all our guest are coming from all across Canada... :)

They have numerous colors ... I think I have it in a Word document along with all the prices. PM me your email address and I'll get you what I have.

Flowers I think you pick once you are there. I am using silk and brining them with me, so not sure about flowers. I do know you can send pics and they will try to duplicate it, but don't bank on it being exactly the same.

I also just spoke with a PPC bride and she says for the beach reception option ... that they have a raised wooden dance floor, which sounds cool. She is trying to find me some pics of it from her wedding to send me. I'll post when I get 'em!

So we think we have decided on the garden venue (no canopy) for the ceremony. Does anyone know how secluded this area is?? I also like the first picture but it is off of the lobby, so does that mean your wedding is in full view of the guest walking around the lobby?? Also I would like to have a nice entrance, and walking through the lobby in my gown waiting to go down the aisle is not exactly what I am picturing. Basically we would like the ceremony to be somewhere private, away from prying eyes and not beside a path with people walking to the beach and back during the ceremony. Has anyone had there wedding there or been there for a viewing?? If you have any information regarding how secluded the different venues are it would be Greatly appreciated!!

To my knowledge ... all of the garden locations off of the lobby are pretty secluded. They are all "private" garden areas, not public.

Just MHO, but I think walking through the lobby (beacuase the lobby is so beautiful and grandiose) is the PERFECT way to start the wedding. But for any of the garden locales, you will have to walk through the lobby to get to them ... but then you head out to the secluded garden areas.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
