Memorial Day Maui

Because of other important dates around that time, it looks like our wedding date will have to fall on either the Thursday before or after Memorial Day weekend.

Have any of you ladies been to West Maui around that time? Do you think the prices for flight and hotel would be higher, and the island would be much busier/crowded? We plan on getting married and staying on Ka'anapali Beach.

Any advice?

Aloha!

We got engaged this past Memorial Day weekend in Maui and the deals were great! Wasn't very crowded either ... several beaches were

near empty during the week, with the exception of Ka'anapali - which always will have people here and there. It's still a slice of heaven.

We are planning our wedding there next May.

Good luck!!

Congratulations Jackpot82!

Memorial Day weekend sounds like a great time to go!  I'm so relieved.  How long before your trip did you make your travel accomodations?  We're now trying to figure out when would be a good time to get the best deal for buying our flight tickets and book our hotel...and we'd like to recommend it to our guests as well!

Thank you!! cheesy.gif

In September of 2009 we booked our flights for our May 2010 trip.

Last weekend we purchased our airfare for our wedding in May of 2011.

Our condo deposit was paid in January of 2010.

I am currently researching our options for next year, and hope to have our deposits paid by the holidays.

Good luck with your planning; this site has alot of good suggestions and ideas. Glad to have found it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
