Out of the number of invites sent, how many said yes?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I know there are probably threads on here about this already but I'm dying to know- for those of you who have gotten married, or those who have sent out invites and already got back your responses, what was the ratio or number?

We will have a ton of invites going out- about 210 and are thinking about 80-100 will say yes after going through the list and seeing who will REALLY come.

Post your invite number and amount of YES RSVP's here!

(And of course any comments about anything interesting you found with people saying yes, not saying yes... )

I don't know, this has been a real dilemma for us.  We are wondering... if we pair down our guest list and only invite certain select close family and friends, and all of them say yes, then great.  But if some say no, then we wouldn't had room for maybe someone we made ourselves cut off the list. It's hard!

It'll be interesting to see what everyone else says.

Im not that far in yet, but I sent out 40 STDs and about 15 people are coming so far, I havent sent out invites yet (w/ RSVP cards) so I dont have a definite count yet, but in all reality I sent out 40 STDs inviting about 90 people, and only 15 have said they are coming/booked so far.

We sent out 110 invitations (220 people or so). And we have 70 people officially booked, and expect maybe 10 more. We still have 3 months to go, but I think these are pretty firm numbers. Looks like 30-40% acceptance rate, not too bad.

I will say there are 10 people (friends and family) that we had on the 'definite' list, and they aren't coming (like best friends and in-laws). Life gets in the way, either from money to job to kids or parents. It's always surprising, but don't take it personally. You will still have a great time. I will admit some of these "can't make it" from my close friends does kinda hurt, but I'm just trusting what all married brides have said that 'you won't even notice they aren't there'. I still gently remind these friends they have 3 months to book though!

Your numbers are exactly what I will be sending out! We will have about 220 people invited and I was expecting about 80 to say yes. (My FH thinks more like 100 but he is dillusional.) And I've already heard some of the "I won't be able to make it" stuff from close friends and I hate to admit it, but I definetely took it personally even though I know I shouldn't have. We think alike! :) Keep me posted on the final number!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
