How far in advance did you have to book to get the 4pm time slot? We are planning a 1/2010 wedding...so it is to early to book our flights to set an exact date b/c we want to get the best deal on airfare and our dates are flexible. We really want that 4pm time slot though, so im wondering if i should book my room sooner to reserve the time. My TA said if we book the room but end up changing the week she can attach that time to the new wedding day. Very confusing and the only source of anxiety for me!

Lizzdee, when is your wedding? Your post says 1/2010? We booked our April 2, 2011 wedding in June 2010 and the 4 pm time slot was the only time that had left for that date, so we got lucky bc thats the time I wanted!  So that was 10 months before.

Whoops! mistype! going for Jan. 2012!!! i cant believe you lucked out like that! im hoping to book the room this dec/ jan...hoping to get the 4pm time slot. I hope we do. I would thin 12 months would be enough time, andwe are also really flexible on dates, so maybe that wil help. We haven't actually set an exact date b/c of airfare....can book airfare til Feb, and we want to get the best deal poss. The time slot is my only worry!

  • 3 weeks later...

I'm also getting married at Beaches T&C in May 2011! We finally decided on beaches and eventually narrowed it down to May -- we are waiting to hear back regarding the timeslot; but we've requested 11am because there were no other times available that week other than 9am and 11am.

We're just trying to decide on what we can do for our guests in between the reception/dinner - does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking that we'll probably have about 3hrs between the ceremony and the reception....not sure what to do?

Hello!!  I am also getting married at Beaches T&C in May at 11am!  May 21st!  We're going to have the 1 hour private cocktail reception after the ceremony, and that's it!  We figured we'll be all done by 1pm, and then all our guests can enjoy the rest of their day, since a lot of them will be leaving the day after the wedding.  I booked my stay and wedding through a TA that my friend referred to me, and she's been great!  Happy planning!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
