My FI and I have decided against full suites for the 8 groomsmen.  Nothing says uncomfortable like a suite jacket in 100 degree weather!!   So we were thinking instead of mens flowers, the men should wear Kukui Nut Leis.  I know it's more of a Hawaiian tradition, but I like it... What do you guys think??

I love the Kukui Leis, even if it is Hawaiian :)!!   A friend of mine did Kukui Leis for her Maui wedding in 2008 for the wedding party.  For the men they did just Kukui leis, instead of flowers.  For the ladies they did bracelets and chokers (the chokers where actually longer than I thought :) and looked more like a necklace), also instead of bouquets we all threw petals and it created such a pretty isle for the birde!!!!

The best part of the Kukui leis was that we could take them home and for the bride/groom the cost was far less than flowers :),  I've actually worn mine with a few summer outfits from time to time :).  I say go for it!!!!  :)

      All the best!!!
