lesee - we ordered from www.towelsoutlet.com - we were going to get beach towels but had a strict budget for favors so we ended up going with a bath towel that was a little bit cheaper, although the beach towels were still a good price, depending on how many you need to get.  Just a tip, the price on the site doesn't include the embroidering cost, which is about $2.50 per towel extra.  Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi KCB2011

We've decided to taylor our OOT bags to each guest as we're having a very small wedding - just family - it's about 18 people. We've decided to get books or mags that each person will enjoy (we are on a budget as well so costco is our best friend for that kind of stuff), we're getting hand sanitizer, we're also going to get a few postcards for each person while down in DR and make sure they have postage on them with the idea that by the end of our stay, they will write their favorite memory of the week and mail it to us from DR. I think that will be a great keepsake. My sister is also an Arbonne rep so I was thinking to get every couple some after Arbonne sun lotion and maybe a bunch of suncreen samples and the like from her. Among the typical advil, immodium, bandaids, double sided tape, safey pins - the kids will be getting books and sand toys and candy.  For our favours at the reception, we're likely going to get small tins of our favourite loose leaf tea either from Silk Road in Victoria or David's Tea here in vancouver - it will be super easy to personalize and I know everyone coming loves tea - except the kids of course!

I totally forgot we're making "mix tape" CD's as well! Summer type music that our guests can play in their rooms!

Those are great ideas!  We will have about 40 people coming so it will be harder to personalize each bag for us!  I am looking for some sunscreen and some OFF for each bag as I think that people are likely to forget bug repellent...I have been told that people may need bug repellent if you are having an outdoor reception so I want to make sure I include that!  I wish I had some original ideas like you and so many of the brides on this forum!

Thats part of the fun of this forum...you can get some great ideas from all these savvy women and make them your own through your own wedding colors and if you have a monogram or maybe add your own theme to the idea. :) I have seen some pretty amazing and creative ideas on this site...i have been noting them all down and then when i get to those things i will pull out all my notes and create my own ideas :) its so much fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
