Wedding Favors?

Hello,

we are giving each couple a frame to put a their favorite picture of their trip to keep as a souvenir.  We are planning to put a note thanking guests for their presence instead of the generic picture to give the frame away during the reception.

Wea re giving out OOT bags when ereryone arrives but at the actual weddig we are giving out shot glasses that we had personalized that we will also incorporate into the toast/kiss thing. We are leaving the toasts open and informal however if you want us to kiss you get up, wish us well and take a shot. I think I'll put a bottle of tequila or something similar on each table for that purpose.

I like the personalized shot glass idea!! I'm thinking of doing the hand painted maroccas!! I likey them!!

For our favors I really want to do somthing "Dominican"  I'm thinking about buying some of the faceless dominican dolls online.  I think they are really pretty and I think they are something our guests will keep.

That was my original idea but i thought they would melt before i made it to my location. How are you going to get the m&m's there and on the beach w/o them melting?

I'm planning on traveling with the m&m's and keeping them in my carry on.  WIll probably do 1 or 2 5lb bags.  My reception is inside (not on the beach) - so hopefully I won't have melting issues...

Another idea if it has not been posted is that in DR their local drink is Mamajuana. My guests loved it at the resort and it would have been a great welcome bag gift or wedding favor.

We ordered wholesale embroidered towels and those will be our favours but we are putting them in the welcome bags - we figured it would be something that everyone would likely use when they got home (throw it in their linen closet with their other towels!).  I am also getting pashminas for the ladies BUT having a major problem thinking of what to get the guys!  I have had lots of suggestions about rum, shot glasses, etc but we have a lot of people who are coming who are decidedly NON-drinkers and I want the gift to be appropriate for all of the guests, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!  I am hoping to give these out at the reception (basket with pashminas at entrance area with a basket of something for the guys!  Dilemma, dilemma!

Can I ask where you ordered your towels from? We looked into getting towels and having the screen printed but the price was OUTRAGEOUS.
