Riu Palace Brides Post Here!!!

Those cups are a great idea!  Another option is to do coffee mug type glasses that act somewhat like a thermos to keep the drinks cold.  We did that for my mom's destination wedding a couple years back and they were also a hit.  However, I really like how your cups can be customized!  I want the purple ones :)  Nice find!

The only thing I know is im getting married at 2 pm (yikes) on the beach. The brides maid dresses are fushia pink..which I will find a picture and attach a link asap. Here is the link to my wedding dress:

But I will be adding a fushia pink sash under the bust with rhinestones on it. So I match the girls and it gives a little pizaz.

I will keep you updated when I get more information. I have tons...just not enough time to post:)

Hi All,

I am a RIU Palace, Cabo San Lucas, bride to be.  I have learned so much from all of you I just wanted to pop in and say Thank You.  We are doing the symbolic ceremony Oct., 29, 1011.  That's about all I know too.  After reading these posts I see I have a lot of planning/ shopping to do and I had better get on it!

So when I first booked my wedding last January the WC was Danielle, and then it was Monse and now I just got an email from Paola Flores (I think she books all the Riu Mexican weddings) that the new WC is Kai Lara???  Has anyone met her???  I'm getting married in 25 days and getting kind of nervous!

Hi fellow RP brides,

I was coming on to write a similar question as well.  Monse was AMAZING but now she is gone.  I've sent/forwarded 3 emails to Kaiulani (I believe that is her name) over the past 2.5 weeks and haven't received a response.  I have only ever received one email reply from her when she first started.  She is making me very frustrated.  I miss Monse sad.gif

The only email I've gotten from her was a question asking what time my wedding was at...um its in less than 3 weeks and you don't even know what time its at?huh.gif?  YIKES!  I replied and asked a bunch of questions and she never responded...

I don't blame you!  However, I emailed Paola (the person I was first in contact with when booking the wedding) and told her Kaiulani has not been returning my emails and that our whole forum is filled with fellow brides complaining about the same thing, and she responded apologizing and saying she'd look into it and make sure I got my replies.  So, hopefully she'll get on Kaiulani... if you don't get a reply by tomorrow, try emailing the person that you booked your wedding date with!

Hope this helps!

Katie

Hello Ladies,

So I had to message you all to tell you that Kaiulani did get back to me last night- at like 8pm too. So she must be putting in some later hours now. I still dont have alot of questions answered but at least I know now that there is someone working on everything- since we leave in less then 20 days.

Just wondering what you ladies might be doing for guest favors? Im stuck and dont know what to do, I really like the idea of thermal mugs or something- but that can get pricey.

Monique

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
