Welcome Party / Farewell Brunch Locations?

Hey ladies,

I am looking to have a welcome reception (either full dinner or cocktails, depending on the price). I am looking for something very budget friendly, a location with a great view and atmosphere and that maybe could provide or already has music/musicians.

I am expecting up to 50 guests. I am thinking of even doing a sunset dinner/cocktail cruise, bonfire dinner, or restaurant location.

Any ideas? I dont' want to go over $2500 (including alcohol)!

Hi! We were thinking about doing either a sunset cruise or a restaurant and decided to with a restaurant for our welcome dinner due to timing (we'll probably do a sunset or brunch cruise the day after the wedding).

We're having our welcome dinner at Baja Cantina. They're located on Medano Beach and are reasonable. A few brides, on the forum, have had their welcome dinners there and love it. Drea and Erik got married there!

Check out their menus:

Hi leharris5.

There are several different restaurant here in Cabo; the one's with great views are located right on Medano Beach (Baja Cantina, The Office, Mango Deck & so on) or at Hotels (i.e. Sunset Da Mona Lisa). However, the ones on Medano Beach are a little more Budget friendly, You can try Baja Cantina, The Office or the very best one... Mango Deck..hehehe.

You can check them out at Cabo San Lucas Restaurants, Mango Deck Restaurant and Bar Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
