ok here goes,as ive said before we have six children between us and would like to do the dw wedding.we told our families who were dissapointed about not being able to come.I explained that it was because it would be expensive.I caved in a little and said well if you paid for yourselves and they joined me looking on line and were like yer they loved the dreams hotel in mexico with the dolphins. That just left us to pay for 3 children and ourselves. However that stacks up and FI wont entertain saying adults only as his 3 are all under 18.We end up paying 3 adults and 2 kids.plus the wedding package. At lunch today FI said lets forget it till next year see how much we can save etc.He also said hes not sure he wants everyone there as well just end up being on holiday not about us.(that comment saved him)so now how do i tell my parents, his and my three boys were going it alone.our original plan was to go to LA and theen fly to Hawaii i still love this idea i had looked at Mexico DR and then Cuba(much CHEAPER) but i think he thought hey this wasnt what we planned.I need help in selling the idea we go off come back and throwing a party in the garden.Hawaiian themed. Why didnt i keep to my original no were going alone .errrr help please

I am so sorry to read about this difficulty. I hope you and your FI remember that this is YOUR day! YOU TWO decide how you want it. If you want it to just be you guys then your family needs to be understanding. If you want your kids involved and thats it then they need to understand that too. You may get some grief but this is YOUR DAY!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
