We have our flights booked and have reserved our rooms, but wow, we are going to be moving around quite a lot during our stay in Mexico!

We arrive in Puerto Vallarta on Tuesday, July 1st and head directly to the Sol Melia.

Its an AI that is next door to the Mayan Palace. We had a VERY difficult time deciding where to stay since, essentially, we would be determining where our guests would stay. We tried to involve our guests in our decision making but adding a poll to our websites, even passing out hotel pamphlets at family gatherings. It turned out that most people chose Dreams PV however after seeing the rates, they decided instead that Melia would be more affordable (however not as nice, I'm not to crazy about the rooms, lets hope they'll be nice enough and upgrade us to their M-Floor rooms!)

M Experience Room @ Melia (sorry, tried to include image but we are only limited 4 per post!)

I'm sure we'll have a great time, so far we have about 60 guests booked at Melia and others who are staying elsewhere. Supposedly Melia has the largest pool in PV, so they'll be a ton of room for the M-S clan!

Any how, Hans and I will not be staying together prior to the wedding so on our wedding day, I plan to have the GM move our things to our honeymoon suite a the Mayan Palace (Hans doesn't know this yet).

We'll stay there one night then move to the Grand Velas Vallarta in Nuevo Vallarta for 5 nights! So excited!

THEN we fly to Guadalajara and drive about an hour to the city of Tepatitlan to join most of my family for a few days to continued the party!

I haven't been there in years. The town has grown so much and so has the nightlife, lol!

We finally fly home on Sunday night! Wow, thank goodness I'm taking Monday off!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
