I just seen Natalie and Lances TTD slideshow and I love it. Now I want to do this. How much extra does this usually cost for them to photograph this. And I really love Juan Carlos Tapia but he really isn't in our budget for our wedding...do you know if we could just get him to do the TTD session and how much it would be. Do you usually do this a day after?? And do you buy another dress for this then?? Sorry i'm asking 20 questions here.

I did my TTD pictures the day after my wedding...we also did it with a different photographer.

Wedding photographer was Tomas Barron

TTD pictures was with Manuel Burgoin

We did the TTD pictures for a little over one hour and he charged us $500

We get all the photos and 50 print outs...

I'm still waiting for ours....We can't wait!!!!

I also used my wedding dress....did not buy another dress....it did not damage my dress at all, made it cleaner actually LOL

I would definitely try and work it into the package you are getting with your photographer. I build my packages so that it saves you money over picking things ala carte. So, for me a TTD session might be $600 ala carte but I can put it in a package for either less or maybe slightly more BUT with another item added into the package free as well. make sense?

WIth Jessalyn's TTD session, it was something that we added in but instead of paying for that we worked it out with an extra night or so at the resort. So, something like that might be an option as well.

Here's one from Jessalyn's. I have another TTD tomorrow so I'll post those later.

yay! my TTD pic again....sorry, I love seeing it...I'm so vein.

Anyway, Jonathan already mentioned how we arrange for the TTD session. In my limited experience (and I think this works for most photogs...but, I'm not sure) a DW photographer will generally work with you on adding extra shoots, or creating custom packages etc.....especially since they are already there to shoot your wedding. As Jonathan mentioned my TTD session was negotiated for an extra night at the resort. so worth it IMO. :)

BTW, I used my actual wedding dress the day after my wedding and it dried nicely without any stains...I actually think the dress got a little cleaner from the TTD session ...it was really dirty from the wedding.

Good luck!

As a photographer, I totally agree! It can always be worked out with your photographer - all you have to do is ask.

I agree with everyone else, try to work it in. Especially if you're doing it the morning after - your photographer will still be close by. That's what I did and my photographer was actually really excited about doing it (maybe bc it's a little different, more fun, less stress...) and it wasn't that hard to add it in at a reasonable price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
