Aekai Beach Weddings

My fiancée and are getting married in April 2011 in Maui.

Has anyone used Aekai Beach Weddings? Or any of these people I listed? I only hear really good reviews about Aekai beach weddings. Is there any advice you can give us or negative comments about them?

 

So far everything seems to easy, its almost feels to good to be true.

I am using them! but under their other name A Paradise Dream Wedding - we're getting married at Olowalu plantation house. I have Jo as my co-ordinator too, and am also getting married in April! We have a different photographer though - Ian.

 

The reason we are using them is because my Aunt and Uncle got married on Maui, ten years ago, and had Gordon who is the owner as both their officiant and photographer. and their wedding went fine! x

The plantation house is so nice! If I had a large group of people coming I would definitely go there.

Yeah if we had a smaller group we would have done a beach too - but they said if you have over I think something like 20ish? people you should consider an estate as you cant put chairs on the beaches. And I figured as we're getting married in the afternoon it will be very hot.

 

We have about 35 which isnt massive but will be nice for people to be able to sit on the veranda in the shade after the ceremony and enjoy the gardens.

 

Congratulations too! What date are you getting married? We're the 19th.

Ya that would be alot for everyone to just stand around and I know some beaches have a limit for the number of people you can have. Makena Cove is under 15 people. We are getting married the 21st lol

Oh cool, Jo will be busy with both of us that week then!

 

Who are you having to marry you? Were having Kimo.

We originally wanted Rev. Kenneth Kalei Ho’opai but Jo told us that she has worked with him in the past and is unreliable, therefore; Vance Rosete is marrying us. 

 

I don't recognize Kimo, what type of ceremony are you having?

We're having Hawaiian non-religious. The decision was sort of made for us as to who we had, because the combination of what we wanted and our location I think he was the only one as most of them only do south maui. But its not like we had a preference anyway so its fine.

We are having a Hawaiian Christian ceremony. 

 

I am so excited for April, but its so far away We literally have everything prepared. There is really no more that we can do. I can't believe how easy it is working with Jo. We just say we want this and we get it.  I wouldn't want to have to plan this without a coordinator. I wouldn't even know where to start!

Yeah I totally agree I couldnt organise contacting all the vendors by myself! and the timings of everything!

 

I just have to decide on flowers and sort out transport. Oh and the cake as we want to order one from an outside company.

But all the important stuff is sorted.
