Can I get the bridal party gift cards?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am leaving in a week and I am so frustrated with bridesmaids gifts. I have no idea what to get and every time I think I found something everyone will like then one of them says "eh". Then I want to spend more than my budget allows to get something nicer.... I am FRUSTRATED!!! Can I just get them all a gift card to their favorite store? My cousin thinks that is being impersonal and lazy to get gift cards and you only do it for people you don't really care about but need something in a hurry....

What do you think? Should I just wait til I get to Mexico and find something? or should I get gift cards? or should I get them some jewelryhuh.gif

OMG! You sound just like me!!

I leave tomorrow and JUST got the gifts for the girls this week. I ended up getting them each a watch, all different based on their style. Then I got a little travel journal to go with them and also paid for the material for their dresses.

I think gift cards would be fine or even a gift certificate like TA Maureen said.

If it helps, this is what I plan on doing. I'm getting jewelry(doesn't have to be expensive, there are lots of good deals on nice jewelry at cheap prices). I'm going to have their initials engraved on the jewelry to personalize it more. You can pick out the jewelry based on each BMs tastes or by their role. For instance, I'm getting a necklace for my MOH and bracelets for my BMs. All will have lockets or something similar attached to have to intial on. Since you're tight on time with only a week, there are lots of shops that you can go to that can engrave the jewelry in an hour's time, maybe even less. Just a suggestion. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Hope it all works out and Best wishes on your wedding day =]

I would love to get spa/salon certificate but the resort we are staying on gives each room $300 in spa credit, so I doubt that they will need extra.

I thought about getting them each different things for each different girl but I thought you are supposed to get everyone the same thing?

The gift doesn't have to be the same for every girl. However, I would really try sticking to about the same price range for each gift.

I got the girls some personalized beach bags, a hair flower, jewelry and bought their dresses. It doesn't have to be too difficult- just shop for them like you would for Christmas or birthdays- if you do that.

I personally am not a huge fan of gift cards, but that's a personal opinion type thing.

not a huge fan of gift cards either, especially if your girls have really made your planning special.

i'm getting the MOH a necklace, one BM a bracelet and the other one a ring, b/c that's what each of them really like in jewelry. i also got them personalized tote bags, BM and MOH tanks, and paying for mani's the day of the wedding.

since you've only got a week...what is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about each of your girls?? maybe this will help you figure out gifts based on their interests

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
