I was wondering about this, too! I'm Asian, which can also be an issue with eyeliners smearing. I want something that's going to last, and there's NO WAY I can go sans-make up.

Seems like Sephora, MAC, Benefits, and Bare Minerals is the way to go for now. I actually use both MAC and Bare Minerals on a pretty regular basis. But, haven't actually gotten wet with it. So, we'll see. Keep the posts comin' ladies, I'm def going to need your help!

That product sounds amazing.  The only thing I am nervous about is 1> the price 2> I have very oily skin, I usually end up blotting oil from my T-zone within 4hours of applying anything to my face.  I dont think the waterproof primer would survive very long with my skin constantly trying to rid itself of it!

My dream would be to not have to wear foundation, maybe just some blush, But that may not be realistic seeing as my "Canadian Tan" for a wedding in December wont allow for the best/even complexion....to shoppers I go  :)

What I was talking about above

It totally helps keep your foundation and everything on in water (i tried it by dipping my face in water). Also you can use it under your eyeshadow to make your eyeshadow waterproof. Its expensive like $60 for the bottle but I think its worth it. The lady also said it will help keep your makeup on when you're sweating which will probably be really good for the wedding day. Just wanted to share this product!

I ended up using sephora's make up forever foundation, concealer, and liquid liner, and l'oreal volume shocking waterproof mascara.

They stayed on pretty well for the beating we took from the waves.  My skin is not great so I was happy to have something, and if it wasn't perfect it's nothing a little editing can't fix!

I used both the waterproof liquid eyeliner and the aqua eyes eyeliner during the week neither of them really survived a day of swimming.  The foundation was good but felt pretty heavy for daily use, I was happy not to worry so much about what I looked like for our honeymoon week.

Hello Future TTD'ers,

I recently had an underwater boudoir session with Sol Tamargo of Del Sol Photography. I also did my TTD with her as well. I used Benefit Cosmetics cream shadows as those don't budge I also used the Bad Gal Waterproof liner and mascara. You will see in the slide show I was completely immersed in water (FUN). The make-up stayed put. I would highly recommend it as well as the very talented Sol Tamargo. You are guaranteed to look gorgeous in all of her shots :)

Good Luck everyone,

Desiree

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
