Bakeries in RM?

I tried searching the forum, but could only find bakeries in Cabo... does anyone know where I can order a wedding cake near my hotel?

I plan on using the Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery. It's in Akumal, so I'm not sure how far away that is from the Xcaret. I know it's south... Page Title

There's a place in Playa del Carmen, "La Creperia" that bakes delicious cakes, I tried to find it online, but it seems that they don't have a website.

Thanks Sol! I am heading down to RM next week for a site visit so I will ask around. Maybe I could stop by the bakery and do a "taste test"... of course I would have to taste at least 10 cakes just to make sure I find the one I like (hehe).

This may be a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway! Are you having your wedding at the resort... if so, will they allow you to have a cake brought in from the outside? I think we're getting married at the Grand Palladium, and the only way to customize the cake is to bring your own cake topper!

That's def not a stupid question at all, especially considering some of the rediculous rules some of these resorts have! The truth is, I haven't asked if I could bring in my own cake, but I plan on bringing in a good amount of food for guests with dietary requirements, so I figured one little cake won't hurt That being said, a wedding cake is included in the price of my reception so it's not like they are losing out by letting me bring another cake in...

I also have been in contact with Jennifer at Turtle Bay Cafe. I am interested this cake, but a smaller version.

Thanks Amy! I was looking through their website and love that cake too! I dont want something too detailed... but I love the seashells!

Will definitely look for "La Creperia" in PDC next week and hope to check out Turtle Bay Cafe if it is not too far away.
