SDSTEPH - Questions For You

Recommended Posts

Hi Steph,

I hope you don't mind me doing this. If you do, I'll ask a Mod to close this thread.

I just see that you've offered your Local Las Vegas insider info and I'd love to ask some questions that maybe other brides have. So instead of PMing you I'm making the thread hoping that other brides who may want a local's input would do the same.

My Question:

Do you know of an inexpensive or off-strip spa location that I could go with my girls/mom(s) for some pre-wedding pampering? (even if it's just nails and waxing)

Thanks in advance!!!

Steph, again, if this is too much for you let me know either here or via PM and I'll have the thread removed.

Here's hoping you don't mind tho!!! :)

I know the Red Rock and Green Valley both have amazing spas. Both are off strip but still casinos. It could be a fun outing for the girls! I am not sure how expensive they are...but usually off strip tends to be less expensive.

I have also heard that Y Me Nails & Spa is a fun place for that kind of stuff! It is really close to the strip too and has great prices !

There is also this website called 1/2 off las vegas and it has lots of great specials fo spas and mesages..you might find something fun on there!

Please feel free to ask any questions you have! I would be glad to help! Cheers

SDSTEPH - I've got more questions.

My dream of having an ensuite wedding is crushed due to the size of our group.

the only place that can accommodate us wont allow outside catering and costs too much for us.

What restaurants would you recommend I check out on the strip or nearby to it that can do a chill reception for possibly 50-60 people?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Fire fly is an amazing restaurant.  Its tapas style and great for a group, but its sort of small, so I'm not sure it could accommodate 50-60 people.  To be honest, there are countless restaurants in vegas, but I can't think of too many with private rooms to fit that many people.  The Tommy Bahamas restaurant in Town Square has a nice size private section.  Its in a great area and reasonable prices.

hi danyelle

i'm getting married at mandalay bay in sept next year and have really struggled with reception ideas.i would of liked in suite but it was too expensive we also have children with us so i've been exhausting all options and at the minute maggianos is ranking very high with us it can also include an open bar if you wish and a private room i've read some very highly recomended reviews on it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
