Being that they are basically the same property I'm sure everything would be the same. Also there is a review on here somewhere about a wedding at Wild Orchid, I think it's by TA Maureen. |

I am getting married at Secrets Wild Orchid on Nov 6, 2010. The facebook pages are a wealth of information on the resorts.
Did you ever find the review by TA Maureen?

How has the planning been going for you? Which wedding package are you doing? We just booked the Ultimate Wedding Package, and now I'm trying to figure out what extras we can afford. The prices are a bit steep!

I'm getting married there on July 7, 2010
I just came back from Jamaica for a vacation and had a chance to visit the resort. It looks amazing. I didn't see a wedding there, but one was scheduled for 5.
I agree with the other brides, the facebook page is helpful.

I honestly haven't done much yet...I guess I better get on that! Haha
Right now we've just booked the basic package that is included with your 7 night stay. After much thought my FI and I didn't think it was necessary (for us) to have a "private" reception. We aren't that big on a lot of the traditional wedding things, so we are thinking on just doing a semi private cocktail hour, where we would do the toast(s) and cake cutting and then just have reservations for everyone at the same restuarant. Also I am bringing my own photographer, so I don't need any photos that are included in the upgraded packages. But...I should probably email the WC to figure it all out. I've kind of been waiting to get a better idea of the number of ppl that will be joining us.
