Where did you put your dress upon checkin at ROR?

Recommended Posts

We will be arriving to ROR before the 3pm checkin. I've heard everyone mention that you can just leave your luggage with them...well what about your dress? What did past brides do with your dress, did you trust them to lock it up or carry it around the resort with you? I haven't seen this mentioned yet and just wondering....

I edited the thread title to make it easier to search :)

I don't know the answer to your question though lol, sorry. I've been there but not to get married. They held our luggage until our room was ready but I didn't have a wedding dress to worry about. Hopefully someone can help you out!

Okay so when you check in they have EVERYONES luggage in the main lobby and then they give you stickers to put on your luggage with your room number. I didnt just want to leave my dress in the main lobby with my luggage so I asked them to hang it up in the back and they did and it was fine. We got there around noon. Just asked them to hang it back there for you. If your dress is as big as mine your really not gonna want to walk around with it (it got heavy)

Thanks Shakara! I read your review and it looks like you had a great time. Up until about 2 months ago, I was only reading the reviews of ROR on here and then I started to look at Tripadvisor so now I'm worried my guests will hate it. Your review made me feel better though.

I am starting to get really excited! We leave on the 27th from Baltimore, Md and we're taking US Airways. I have been debating whether or not to get the raffia fans. I'm wondering whether guests will use them or if it would just be a waste. Did you use them at yours?

PLEASE do not wory about choosing this resort. It was by far the best we, and a lot of our gusts have stayed in. Everything about this place was fabulous, i COULDNT GET over how everything was so clean, staff so pleasant, food so good, pools great, beach awesome..I loved it......I still dream about going back.......we'll be going back to Jamaica next year, and i wanna go back to ROR!

As for the dress, the above is correct, all your bags are placed in the centre of th elobbyand you place your stickers on them, you re suppose to go about your buniness and let them take your bags. We didnt. I was paranoid. SO I took my bags and my dress to someone elses room ....my parents I believe, they re room was ready before ours. I had no intentions of leaving my dress anywhere tho. Id suggest taking it to get something ot eat, immediately to your right theres the italian restaurnt which will be open, if not, st. anns down the hall will be. Once I was done eating Id prob lounge in the lobby...enjoy the warm breeze, wait for your room....Or go to one of the pool bars, and lounge on the die of the pool..I saw lots of girls do this stuff.......and I would have had my parents room not been ready.....

My husband and I were the first to arrive. We had abot 6 bags between the 2 of us, plus a dress. I was SO sick and tired of lugging that thing around. Basically, we stacked all of our luggage together and then just draped my dress and his duit (both in heavy-duty garment bags) over the luggage, no worries! No one is going to mess with your dress. No one even touched our luggage until we headed to our room.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
