Punta Cana Photographers?

Recommended Posts

My husband and I just had a honeymoon photoshoot with Karina Jensen at Sivory Punta Cana today. She was so nice and fun to work with! She was great at finding the perfect locations and lighting and was really helpful in suggesting poses (we needed a lot of guidance in that area!). Overall it was a great experience and we're looking forward to seeing the photos! Will post when I get them :)

hi girls,

I just got married in Punta Cana and used Photo Souvenir ( www.photosouvenirpuntacana.com).  I can't say enough about them and highly recommend them . Renaud and Severine are the most adorable people and were so easy and fun to work with. They are true professionals and you can tell that they have a lot of experience shooting weddings. We chose the 8h coverage and the Wild Trash the dress and ended up with hundreds of breathtaking photographs. They did not miss one moment of the whole wedding day and the Wild TTd was such an awesome experience. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful job they did and they are worth every penny.

Hey ladies.  I am only in the beginning process of planning my DW and am looking around for photographers however, my WC (Grand Palladium Punta Cana) emailed me suggesting their "in-house" photographer: Photoshop Caribe I believe it was.  Otherwise, if we choose to bring another photo/videographer from Punta Cana (I.e caribbean emotions/Photo Souvenir I'm assuming) it would cost $500 US to the hotel for EACH videographer AND photographer for the "day pass" .....From my understanding, the $500 fee is to the hotel, so that means I would have to pay my outside photographer AND video grapher AND that fee!?? Does anyone find that a little extreme?? That's ALOT of money just to have an outside photographer come in :S  Is there any way around this....because from the forum here, Photo Souvenir seems to be great and Photoshop Caribe, not so much....

It is totally extreme in my opinion, and I can only assume they do it to encourage brides to use the resort photographer. I kept looking until I found a resort that didn't charge a ridiculous fee, because I wanted to pick my own photographer. Hope you can sort something out :)

Hi, I am actually having my wedding at GP and noticed the crazy fee. Were you able to find a way out of this fee for the hotel. In the end I will bite the bullet because in the end paying $500 so I can enjoy my pictures for the next 30 years is something I can live with. Looks like I don't mind paying $22/year for 30 years to enjoy my photos lol. Please do update me when you hear from the WC at GPPC. Was this Carolina that mentioned this to you? Please let me know!

We just got back from our wedding and thanks to bestdestinationwedding and the previous brides who recommended them, we have hundreds of gorgeous photo's that we could not be happier with. Reasonable prices. Our photographer was Miljan and everyone just loved him. If anyone would like to see pictures. I would be more then happy to share.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
