HELP!!! Carnival Dream: May 2011 - St.Thomas or Cozumel Wedding???

St Thomas is by far one of the jewels of the Carribbean. Megans Bay is one of the most beautiful bodies of water I have ever seen.  It was named one of the worlds best beaches a few years back.  I also agree with the restrictions in Mexico, it may be more sticky and St Thomas is US territory so less of a hassel.  I have debated on getting married int the USVI myself smile159.gif   Good Luck

I'm getting married on the Carnival Dream too!  April 30th, 2011!  But I'll be getting married on the first day before the cruise sets sail!  We're doing the cruise with stops in Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, & Costa Maya!

I've been to both St. Thomas & Cozumel and I would have to agree with most of the other posters about St. Thomas!  Magaen's Bay is indeed the best beach I've ever been too (and I've been to most of the Caribbean islands).  We were just there last October!

we decided to get married on embarkation day (on the ship) so that we could have non-sailing guests join us too (you can have up to 50 nonsailing guests)....since we have a bunch of people that can't come on the cruise for a week but can make it to Florida for a day or 2 (i guess I have too many teacher friends, haha)

wow...67 booked!  that's alot!  have fun!

We are stopping at Magaen's Bay and Drake's Seat (time permitting) for photos.....I can't wait.  Nine and a half weeks to go!

We invited 66 people, and so far only 3 have said they are cruising, 7 have said they are not sailing and the rest haven't responded either way. We are not getting married until next July so there is still time but I think most people won't cruise, and I won't believe the ones who said they are until they make at least the initial deposit. I just know the 4 of us will be there!  (me, my fiance and our two kids)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
