We don't have a Michaels here, but i was thinking of going to either buy online (only problem i the shipping costs) or go to the states, actually i should check if Ottawa has any as that is really close. Just a quick question how do you get your 40% coupons?

Thanks!

I looked on the Michaels website and they have 5 locations in Ottawa. To get the coupons just go to their website find your Ottawa location and click "Michaels weekly add" It will be on the side and you can click the coupons you want and print them! This week they have a 50% off one item and 15% off entire purchase INCLUDING sale items!msnparty.gif. Here is the link to the website for this week http://weeklyad.michaels.com/?storeId=3505

You are my life saver tonight, i'll contact Ruth and see if she can give me a similar price. I have a lot of people coming from England and Ireland who really don''t know anything about the Caribbeans so i wanted to add a liitle resume of currency etc and what to expect.

From you emblem, are you English? Do you have ant family coming in form England? If so how hard was it for them to find packages?

It is the Canadian emblem, just altered to fit the destination wedding theme. We used a wedding planner/ travel agent and she has taken care of all of our guests travel needs. I would recommend getting connected with a good travel agent that has experience in destination weddings and can arrange all the travel for you and your guests. The you don't need to worry about finding answers for everyone because that is the TA's job :). We do have family coming from Australia, but everyone else is coming from Canada. Our TA is figuring out the travel arrangements for the guests from Australia.

The TA/ Wedding planner we are working is Ophellia McKnight from Bridal Affair Destinations. She is great and specialises in Jamaican destination weddings. Here is her website http://bridalaffairdestinations.com/

Hi everyone! I'm located in Toronto and I am planning a wedding for April 2013. We have been exploring Jamaica a lot and are thinking of maybe the Iberostar Rose Hall, but we are still open and exploring all of our options because we did just start our planning!

Does anyone have any insight as to a good wedding planner/travel agent they are using? I'd like to ensure our group for the wedding has one point of contact in arranging the travel down to where we decide. It would also be a great help to have someone who is reputable and has experience in planning this instead of just a regular travel agent.

Thanks!

I am sure I have placed this somewhere else in the thread, but I will recommend her again. Our planner/ travel agent is Ophellia McKnight from Bridal Affaire Destination. She is great to work with and specialises in Jamaican Destination Weddings. She is doing the full wedding planning and travel arrangements for us, but she does split it up as well. She is FULL of information about Jamaica and can offer several different options which I like.

You can check out her website at http://bridalaffairdestinations.com/

Another plus is that she is based in the Toronto area which is close to you!!! We are using her from afar and there is lots of emailing and phone calls.

soonCB – thank you so much for your recommendation! Its great to hear that you can recommend her even when you arenâ€t based in Toronto. I was really hoping to find someone in the area because I get nervous hearing some of the stories of how long it can take people to reply or how they go MIA once you put a deposit down. So finding someone reliable is very important! (as Iâ€m sure it is for all brides to be!)

I will most defenitly reach out to Ophellia and have a chat to see if sheâ€s a good fit for us J

Thanks again!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
