Birth cert......Has to be notorized

copy of drivers licence....notorized

divorce papers if any ( if you do have them, I would bring the original with you just in case..and they can copy it)

These papers have to be at the resort 6 weeks before you arrive! Hope this helps

Yes, you do need the long form birth certificate.. it doesnt take very long, you can have it expressed to you and it will arrive within 5 business days, I had to get my son's for his passport, and I had it shipped via express, I sent the request in monday at 3pm, and It came in the mail the next day!!

If you apply online for the long form from Ontario it only takes a few weeks. But you do need all the information like mother and father's names, place of birth, hospital address, doctor's address at time of birth. I couldn't believe how much they asked for. I was born in Manitoba and all they wanted was name, date of birth and town/city. It took about a month to get a response.

Well i think basically its a different way then asking people for blood tests. Like if you are getting married in Mexico you need to take blood tests to prove you are not related and whatever else. But in Jamaica i guess with the Birth Certif they can see if you have the same father etc.....

another incentive for getting married in Punta Cana LOL you dont need any of that :P

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
