LMAO I forgot to answer your questions about the colours and how im incorporating them....the orange is going to be added with paper lanterns the turquoise blue will be paper lanterns both will also be sashes in the reception dinner area the yellow, well i just thought the yellow looked nice with the other two colours lol BUT the main colours for the wedding are baby blue (hydrangas) with added lime green calalillies (more of a classic tropical feel)

The reception will be more of a tropical feel to it where all the colour will come into play, but im also adding touches of black as well...black looks good no matter where you add it lol... So as you can tell i have an idea, but really not sure of it all right now hahahahaha .... but it sounded like i did huh?!

To canadiangirl and torilynnsmith,

thank you so much for your votes of confidence. I am sooo exhausted, this wedding is killing me! I thought that having a short time frame to plan would be good, but I have to say, I envy you girls for having so much time ahead of you. And btw, the postal strike is a rotating strike, so things will just take longer to get there. I was worried that they could be trapped in a truck or something equally stupid! I am jealous of all of you DIY'ers, but I'm pressed for time as it is, I have 2 boys that are killing me lately, and with work.... Anyways, ladies, before I start venting again. I will make sure to post my invites when I get them, and please keep posting in this forum...I LOVE IT!

We are always here to hear a good vent Tracey, better we vent to each other!!!

I heard the rotating strike thing to so I am not as worried! We sent ours Tuesday and we got calls last night saying people received them so that's good news!!

Booked our photographer today we are using Phil Steingard he does  A TON of wedding at the Majestic Colonial so he is almost like a 2nd WC for us! Another thing off my list so I may sit back for a bit, let some RSVPs come in and then start on some other DIY stuff!

Hey!  I have bought my dress..I got it at Dominique Levesque on Carling Ave!  I love it and I can't wait till it comes in!!  My colour is Guava (pink)!  My bridal party is getting their dresses from David's bridal.  What colours are you doing?
I'm hoping to have pink and white in my flowers.  I just can't wait to get there.  Are you bringing your own stuff to decorate or are you using their stuff?  I'm thinking I just want them to do that way less stuff to pack!  Other than all the stuff on their forms, I don't really know what else I can do here.  Anyway... Good luck with  dress shopping Saturday....i hope you find your dream dress!!! :)

OMG!! I am soo jealous! First of all, your invites look amaaaazing! Second of all, they're done, and your wedding is next year! I'm getting married in less than 3 months, and I only gave the final ok to print mine today! Plus, with the strike...BOOOO!!! We're just waiting to hear what the verdict will be. Keep in mind, that we just got engaged in Feb, and decided we wanted to do it this year. But, are we ever behind!! hahaaa!! We already have our guests confirmed, so it's almost senseless to send out the invites at all! Ahhh..well, I love them, can't wait to see them. Ok, sorry, that was my vent for the day!

OMG i feel your pain. My wedding is in October.  I have a million things to do, my car lease is up, moving in July and wedding planning AHHHHHHH the wedding planning is fun but a lot of little details i dont want to miss. thats what we are all here for, ideas, help and  support so dont forget us when you need to yell, cry, laugh, share, and need help and ideas :)

Okay, So I've been creeping around this site for a couple of months now and I figured it's about time I join this thread!

We are getting married the first week in January 2012, Jan 4th to be exact, at the Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios.

We have the amazing help of our travel agent/wedding coordintor who has experince with the resort amony dozens of others.

We have about 65 pppl booked right now, and we already know that there will be more to come! Great for our celebration, not so great on our budget considering the amount of OOT bags I have to make. I was stressing over the Travel Mugs and how much it is going to cost us and now the WC is taking them over and providing them to our guest free of charge!

I've been getting all kinds of ideas form thi ssite and now that everything is rolling we are starting to put them all together!

Fingers crossed, all goes well!

Jamie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
