    Hi All,

I am getting married at the Melia Caribe Tropical on November 5th and having a reception at the Jellyfish. Wondering if any Melia brides out there have any advise/guidance for flowers and ceremony decorations. I sent the WC at the Melia and the Jellyfish for pricing on flower bouquets and flower centerpieces but haven't heard back yet. Also, I was thinking of keeping the ceremony simple and not use much decorations but would like a little something...just not sure what the Melia offers.

    Thanks in advance!

    Danielle

The prices listed in the Melia Romance guide for bridesmaid bouquets is $50, and for centerpieces, from $90.

We're getting close, fellow 11/5 bride!!

I was just married there on 6-6-10. The flowers for the ceremony were included in my package - The Tides. They were beautiful, and I didn't feel the need for more. I was married there in Jun and it was outrageously hot and humid. Any real flowers would have wilted within and hour or two.
I took advice of others brides and looked into the Real touch bouquets. However, when I saw the price, I decided to make my own and it came out GORGEOUS! And the best part was that they still looked perfect the next morning for our Trash The Dress Session!!I did not have any bridesmaids, so I can't comment on the bouquets.

laurabrea - where did you get your flowers from? You bought and made your arrangements before you travelled? They look beautiful!

Yes I did.  I got them from a wholesale shop in NJ.  Most of them had a real flower feel to them, however some of them were just silk.
