I'm A Vegas Bride!!! Question.

Recommended Posts

Hi Girls!!!

John and I have been through sooo much with this wedding planning. Our Mexico trip was cancelled and we dealt with many losses. We decided (yesterday!) to get married in Vegas!! cheer2.gif

(sidebar: i wanted to elope in vegas just me and him in the first place...)

We're not eloping but have decided to have an outdoor ceremony, and an in-suite reception of some kind, but are unsure, because we also like the idea of hosting a dinner.

Question for you ladies: Does this sound reasonable??

We have our ceremony(11am maybe), and then a lunch en-suite (12-2 maybe?) let everyone go do what they wish for the day, and then host a dinner at a restaurant (6 or 7) with the "afterparty" back at the suite(10-11 till whenever).

Does that sound ok or is it too much? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Congratulations on making your plans and hopefully things will be easier for you from now on.....

To your question ' does it sound ok....'

Sounds very similar to what we have in mind!!! We're thinking of a late morning ceremony and a lavish lunch, afternoon 'nap' :o) and then another dinner and partying 'n' cocktails on the evening!!

Have you decided where you would like to have your ceremony yet? xxx

Thanks ladies!!

Future Mrs. We're between MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay right now.

Mandalay's Falls area looks beautiful! And MGM's Terrazza looks pretty too.

What about you? Any decisions yet?

Thanks for the offer Steph. It's all feeling so real alluva sudden lol. I'm sure I'll throw tons of questions your way soon.

We're coming out for a visit columbus day weekend to do tastings, and make our final decision on location. I'm so excited!

We're thinking of Always and Forever because we really like the lakeside location, or failing that somewhere that does an candle lit evening outdoor ceremony.

Its the whole dinner thing that I'm unsure of - I would like somewhere that we can go in our wedding clothes and have a big lunch where we won't feel rushed, that not crammed and too claustraphobic and where we won't look totally out of place!

I'm so excited and the bonus is its only one day that will be really structured then the rest of the time in Vegas can be relaxed. I don't think I'll be half as stressed as I would be if I was planning a full on white wedding at home and trying to organise a big do!!!

Steph - you may get a couple of messages nearer the time!! Its around a ten hour flight so theres no chance of a trip to have a look around beforehand! I guess that will make Veags even more special in the end x

  • 4 weeks later...

Danyelle,  I think your plans for the day sound great! Sounds like there is plenty of time for everyone to be together, but also time for guests to do their own thing and explore Vegas.

We are having our ceremony through Always & Forever Weddings at the Heritage Garden.  We will have about 30 people.  I am now trying to figure out hotel and restaurant information, where to stay, where to have dinner, etc.  but there are so many to choose from!

Our ceremony is in the evening and I'm trying to find an affordable restaurant location, where we could also have somewhat of a "mini-reception".  I'm looking into an "after party" that night too... but still trying to get all this info together.  It can be overwhelming at times!

Good luck with your planning! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
