Secret Santa this year?

Recommended Posts

I'm all about SS. The address thing doesn't bother me so much because I have a PO Box... the only thing that makes me hesitant is that I've been involved with SS's before, sent my gift, but apparently I was a bad girl because santa didn't give me anything!!

I have had good SS experiences though. But twice I was burned. That's the main sucky side for me.

this may sound harsh but i think if someone does not send out their gift then they should be banned for a period of time or even permanently.

I agree because I basically look at it as being similar to mail fraud... or stealing. I always fork over he extra 65cents to pay for tracking on that stuff just in case it does get lost in the xmas mail craziness, at least I can prove I sent something, and if needed, I would send something later. Or better yet, I order online, have them (the company) send it and keep track of it and replace the item if needed.

PS. When you have a gift registry, does the person buying the gift see the full address of the reciever or just the name/city/state? I am thinking the latter from what I remember. If that's the case, maybe if you are worried about giving out your address, you can set up a gift wish list type thing and have that the way your gift is picked. I don't know if that's a bad idea, but I'd be willing to buy someone a gift that way. I think Amazon hides your address.... I'm sure others may too?

Sounds like you might be onto something. I agree with Jules, if it can all get worked out I'd be down. I *heart* Xmas!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
