Lists, Lists and More Lists

Recommended Posts

I have a google spreadsheet with:

- room rates for all of the room types at our resort

- general wedding info, and a list of each days activities if any are planned

- Guest list - name, address, phone number, email and properly addressed name (easy reference!)

- Guests traveling itinerary with highlights of which guests are on the same flights

- A running total of what we've paid, to whom, and what we still owe

- A (growing) list of DIY projects

- A "Still need to get" list - iPod dock, parents' gifts, etc

- OOT bag items: I have a tendancy to buy things just because I like them, so this helps me to keep track of what I have, for who, and how many, etc.

- A gift page - for gift ideas for my bridal party, parents, and any other specials

- A shoe size list.. haha! I'm getting Old Navy flip flops for all of my guests. So I keep a running checklist of what sizes I need to buy, etc.

I thought I was being good by starting a small list that I kept in my wallet for when I'm out and about... After reading this I've since moved that list to my iPod along with all the other ones listed here and am getting them all in order!

Thanks for all the tips/help. Hoping this makes me feel a little less disorganized and crazy!

Hahahaha we are all list people. I have an accordian file with everything from swatches and samples, to receipts and magazines pages with inspiration. I take that everywhere with me...simply because I never know when I will have/find/see/buy something wedding related. I also use theknot.com which helps me keep everything organized between all the checklists and everything else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
