Lists, Lists and More Lists

Recommended Posts

I don't think I've ever created more lists in my life.

I have a Shopping list for clothing, reception, ceremony and gifts.

Then I have a OOT folder (not bag) list.

I have a honeymoon destination list.

I have a budget list (how I make my installment payments)

I have a DIY list.

The pre-travel brochure info list.

A vendor list (when I find something I like, I write it down for purchase later)

A to-do list

Can't forget the Guest List!

This is how I try to stay organized but yet I am still going crazy lol.

Am I the only one? Am I missing anything?

I have a "I'm The Bride" bag that I picked up at Michael's. In it is my wedding planner, an accordion type file folder, and all kinds of half-started/completed projects. The bag goes with me anytime there's anything remotely wedding-y going on, so that I always have my lists, my projects (in case I see something that can complete them, etc)... and so on. I feel like my wedding planning has taken over my free time... so I'm right there with you!

You MAY want to add a 'to-pack' list. I have one, and I've been at Walmart before and seen something that was an AH HA! I need to pack THAT! moment. Just a thought!

I've got all those list PLUS:

- a separate playlist of music for each event (cocktail hour, reception,...)

- list for guests' accommodations (arrivals, departures,...) on a spreadsheet

I've been keeping everything on an 8gb jump drive (that's backed-up on my computer, of course) AND printing off website pages of vendors/items that I keep in a notebook. Soon I will have to make a list of what I'm eliminating because I don't have a limitless budget! sad.gif

Ha ha, I love it because I have lists on my computer, in my purse in case I see deals when I'm shopping, and in my wedding planning book. Not counting numerous spreadsheets for various bugets. From looking at these posts I've realized there are more to come such as the confirmed guest list, song lists, etc.

Who ever said a destination wedding is easy?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
