Hey Nicole, my suggestions is take your invitations already finished and sealed (take at least two) to the post office and have them weigh it and measure it and have them tell you what postage you need (for safe measure you can even go to a different post office and get a second opinion, honestly you shouldn't need one but with the nightmares people go through, why risk it). I actually met a guy tonight who went to the post office to buy 250 stamps for the invitations for him and his fiance and he was sitting next to us at dinner complaining that all their invitations were returned cause they had the wrong postage. Can you imagine getting 250 invitations back? I would die.

Anyway, on another note I typed my addresses. I am crazy at everything being perfect and I don't like my own handwriting so I typed everything up. I say if you have great handwriting and don't mind writing them all out...go for it!!! I can't wait to post pics!

soooo many issues with the post office!!! fryingpan.gif

nicdeb...i was going to have my MOH do the calligraphy, but got scared that they wouldn't be straight, big enought, small enough, etc. so i played around with some fonts and printed them all out using my own home computer and they turned out really nice!

Janine....not all USPS offices are like this one, I promise you!

Now, let me preface this by saying that although my husband doesn't work as a clerk at the front counter, he has been a Postal Carrier for the past 5 years, and I can assure you that bullsh*t like this would NOT be tolerated at his office! I feel so awful for you that you've had such a terrible experience!

And even though my man works for the post office, I too ordered my wedding stamps (the White Cake ones for the invites, the Gold ring ones for the rsvps) ONLINE! I just didn't want or need the hassle of wondering if my local office even had those designs, so I just went straight to the internet from the get-go and avoided the drama altogether!

But anyway, I'm not trying to speak on behalf of the entire USPS, but please don't let that beotch color your entire opinion of the valuable service they provide as a whole!

Just remember, although it's sad: rude, careless idiots and a-holes work EVERYWHERE! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
