REALLY NEED TO LOSE 50lbs!

Recommended Posts

I really need to find a way to get motivated to lose weight. Had a great body before going back to school. Coldstone and redvelvet cake became my vice. I recently moved and would love to find classes like hi-lo and step, just need some energy & motivation to go.

Just venting I know it must come from inside!!crybaby2.gif

well you have PLENTY of time to lose weight before your wedding if that is your goal...so take that stress away...going to the gym is great and has many benefits, but if you really want to lose weight, the most important thing is your diet..70% of losing weight is diet, the other 30 is gym...so start with the diet...count your calories or do weight watchers..start with that and when you start dropping some pounds and feel good, then start working out :)

It does have to come from inside... but a little outside encouragement helps a lot! Weight Watchers has been really good for me and taught me how to eat better... I went from being able to eat junk all of the time and stay skinny, to hitting my late 20s and gaining 40 pounds in the blink of an eye. P90X helped me lose the weight and WW is helping me keep it off. Good luck and check out the support threads on exercise and diet for an extra boost of confidence :o)

RUN RUN and keep RUNNING - it is the easiest way to slim down and look leaner - I started running 2 years ago and haven't lost weight but everyone always tells me i look like I lost 10-20 pounds it really really leans you out - plus you can still eat

Definitely has to be a combination of diet and exercise. find a food plan that works, like Autumn said, Weight Watchers can be great for motivation and tips. And there are lots of online sites to count your calories.

Even if you start by walking for 10 minutes a day (I know it's really hot these days) it will make a big difference. and drink a ton of water! and if you can find a friend to do it with it might help too. I also invested in a personal trainer which helped a lot.

Don't give yourself any unrealistic goals to lose too much weight at one time or you might disappoint yourself - I started in September for my April wedding and thought I'd lose 25 lbs - I didn't. I lost 15, but, I looked great and felt great from working out so much.

you can do it! you have to want to do it, but you totally can!

take it slow. one day, one meal, one step at a time!

I lost ten pounds one month just walking 3 miles 4x's a week.

then I lost another ten spinning. and then I lost another ten in hot bikram yoga.

it took about a six months to get it off and keep it off.

BUT! then mcdonalds became MY vice, lol. and ICE CREAM!!!!!!!

Do you have an iphone or a BB? Some of the calorie counting websites have apps you can download on your phone and it's easy to stay on top of what you are eating. I used fatsecret.com and have the app that goes with it. I loved that I could record what I ate and then tracked any exercise and it would show how many calories +/- I consumed over what I burnt off. I liked seeing the minus numbers. It was pretty accurate because 3500 calories= 1 pound of fat right? If I lost 5 lbs, I would count up my negatives and it was pretty close to 17,500. That kept me motivated!

i am telling you RUN - or exercise - the whole diet thing I don't think will ever work - you diet but that what it means diet cause you gain it back - you need to make a lifestyle change - you can start off by counting calories but unless you want to gain the weight back you need to stay at a certain amount of calories or under!!! Lifestyle change

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
