Glad to hear you found a photog in your price range that makes you happy! I agree with everyone who said that a competent pro definitely makes a difference. I'm always surprised when I see myself in a pro picture vs a regular picture. SO MUCH difference, and I look SO MUCH better.

But, I also think it's a good idea for you to have a photobucket site or something like that where you give all the guests the userid and password to upload any of their pictures from the trip.

Good idea, but not in lou of a real photographer.

As mentioned, your guests are there to enjoy this special moment WITH you. not capture it for you. As "MissNatalie18" said, ask your guests if one of the would be willing to be the designated photogher, maybe one of them have a little photography under their belt but don't share it. Or find a student or amature photographer or a cheap but good quality pro. Some will only charge the cost of flight and stay.

Hope all works.

Its never a good idea to leave photography in the hands of a none pro!

Only because after your wedding that's all that's left are the memories your photographer captured for you!!!

I get a lot of people who come to me to do trash the dress and day after sessions because they went with a budget photographer and they hate the photos the photog produced.

Wedding photography isn't something a novis can do! If budget is a big concern maybe see if you can register with a photographer so your guests can help pay for the photogs fee.

I hope your images no matter what way you decide to go turn out amazing!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
