I'm in the same boat.

I am looking at both Le Reve and La Amada. We are only going to have about 10 or so people total, so we wanted something small. Le Reve has been great about getting back to me with every request we have. I have not heard much back from La Amada. The only reason we are looking at La Amada is that they seem to be cheaper, at least a little bit. We have the wedding planned for the second week in May 2012 and we have time to get ready, but I wanted to book the rooms and the photographer, (I've been talking to Del Sol, and cant wait to work with them, yay!!) at lease a year in advance. So I'm torn, but I know my FI loved the calm feeling of Le Reve.

We had the same experience with communicating with Le Reve and La Amada when we were looking into options this time last year.  Le Reve (and the WC Arlenis if she is still there) goes above and beyond in working with you.  La Amada was not nearly as good about communicating, but when we did a site visit they were very hospitable.

For a 10 person wedding group, Le Reve would be PERFECT!   And, since you are booking early enough, you could likely secure the less expensive rooms for your guests - making it more comparable to La Amada.   We LOVED Le Reve, but needed a slightly larger resort for our wedding.  It is definitely on our list of resorts to return to, though.  The staff was incredible, the food delicious, and the ambiance perfect!  Plus, if you book there, you get to work with Arlenis!!! :)

Happy Planning!!!

If anyone is still debating on where to book I would seriously consider this.

Le Reve looks so beautiful and romantic and to have either del Sol or La Luna as your photographer is such a treat.  I really wish I could have gotten a deal like this.  Lucky lucky brides-to-be!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
