awww betty, i got chills reading that! because it made me think this: when you are standing there looking into his eyes, and saying your vows and holding hands with the waves crashing and the sun setting (or shining!) and the palm trees waving... nothing more will have ever mattered as much as that exact moment. you will be overwhelmed with the moment and so happy you did it that way! it doesnt matter what you wore or who was there, years and years from now you will always have the memory of that exact moment! :)

im glad spilling your guts to us helped you get more excited! you're SO close! only 28 days!!!! wahhoooooooo!

awwwww...I would not stress at all over the little things. I think there are a lot of girls that don't get all teary eyed about their dress, and I know there are lots of girls having small weddings as well (me included with about 10 guests). But those things aren't what will make your wedding day special....it's you and your FI that will make it special. love.gif

The two of you are going to have a fabulous vacation and exchange your vows in a beautiful setting, and you'll have tons of pics and stories to share when you get back that will make everyone jealous! It's going to be the trip of a lifetime :)

I'm so happy that talking about it made you feel a little better. Weddings are so stressful and everyone (including yourself) seem to expect the bride to be uber happy about all of the stress. I hope you can take a deep breath and reflect on why you are marrying your "Chalamalla" in 28 days!!

Sorry that your feeling that way, in the end it just matters that you and your FI are there. Dont stress over the dress, the people or anything else. When you get their you will be happy that you and your sweetie are getting married and everything will be beautiful.

You will see, it will all come together on the big day! It will be magical and special and memorable. It's about the two of you, not the dress or how many people can come. The whole point of this is that you are joining your life to his! Enjoy the rest of your planning, and stay positive!

I agree that it totally won't matter when you are there with him! And it doesn't matter what shoes you have or what dress or what color the napkins are...none of that crap matters at the end of the day - it's all about you and him and why you (and your guests) traveled so far in the first place - to celebrate your love!

Consider yourself lucky not to be so obsessed with the details. Many brides go batty - and irk those around them - trying to find the right shade of ivory for a dress they will never wear again. You are focused on the love not the show, and that is what matters IMO.

You'll have a great wedding wink.gif

OMG this is exactly what i wanted to say....it's what all of our planning and stressing and waiting is all about....that moment when it's just the two of you and 1 guest or 300 guests, it doesnt even matter, everything and everyone else fades away and time just stops!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
