I can't think of anything clever either! I'm sure that you'll get good suggestions though.

As an aside, I would be hesitant on using the "maybe" option - I would be afraid that people would say "maybe" instead of "no" because it's not as potentially hurtful? Just a thought... you don't want to have to run after even more people!

i decided to do a "pre" rsvp on my passport save the dates (which i haven't put together yet, lol) stating the following:

"A formal invitation will follow. In the meantime, we would appreciate it if you could give us an idea if you are considering traveling to our wedding. You can send us a “pre-rsvp†on our wedding website on the rsvp tab. This way we will know how many rooms to block, arrange for travel for our after party, etc."

there is also wording on the opposite page stating"

"We are not expecting anyone to stay for a week or so. We realize extended travel is not possible for everyone. Instead, please consider staying for 2 or 3 days which is long enough for the wedding and some fun together! We also understand this trip is an impossibility for some. Instead please think good

thoughts for us on our wedding day and weâ€ll keep you in ours."

the website rsvp wording reads:

"Please let us know if you are considering coming to our destination wedding. This way we can prepare for some little extras ahead of time like transportation for our after party!

by rsvp'ing ahead of the invitation we realize that something may come up to prevent you from attending. We are just trying to get an idea of who are interested in coming."

We put the maybe on there just to get an idea of who DEF will not be coming...I was also thinking it might be a pain if we dont hear from some people but i guess ill send another one our when i do that actual invites. That way ill only have to send the invites to the maybes and yes responses! I do like the flip flop idea! so far I have...

for yes..Our bags are packed! Cant wait to feel the sand between our toes!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
