We are the first in our circle of friends and family to have one and getting the chance to share with all of you has confirmed that we made the right choice! A special hi to all the AS brides out there. (I'm on page 118 of our forum.) We'll be spending our honeymoon at the El Dorado Casitas so hello to you guys as well!

i just got marriedat the Azul Santatori on July 10, 2010, what a great fun hotel.  The wedding turned out to be a great deal of fun and things were planned properly.  I will say the one bad thing was and is the DJ he was HORRIBLE. we payed $1500 for the dj package that came with some bubbles, smoke stuff and glow in the dark things.  Well the dj hmm where do i start, down loaded our songs
first dance, mother & son, and father and bride, BUT never heard his download and admitted to this so needless to say our song got cut off in the middle (4mins into the song) and he replayed it from the start 3 times before we just sat down, same thing with moher and groom song and so on.  He spoke so low that we had to repeat what he said and got things wrong like on the micrphone he said very low and now mother and bride dance instead of groom but didn't correct himself.  We luckly had a friend bring his laptdop down from his room and he played the rest of the music for us but...yes the dj was HORRIBLE my ipod could had done a better job then the dj himself.

we complained and got attitude from the ownercof the dj company. first by calling my husband a liar because h said he didnt speak spanish and the owner said you have a spanish name and everyone here is spanish so either you speak to me i spanish or don't speak to me at all.

My husband is latin american but in reality does not speak the language and was very much offended by this man.  he refused to speak to my husband and therefore had to get a friend of ours to speak to him. (keep in mind the owner spoke english)

but the hotel was GREAT. only thing that was a little stressful was the spa, it gets soo packed that you have to book anything the moment you arrive.  my poor mother had to have her hair done at 10am for my 4pm wedding because thats the only time they had and the appointments i made with Fabio my planner here in the States when I got there were not in the system.

if your going to wear fake eyelashes TAKE THEM, luckly I did this and I am gad i did.  the ones they had put on me for the trial were Dragqueen looking they went over my eyebrow. very funny looking but for the wedding would had ben tough.

over all great hotel and all my guest loved it, a few got sick but i think had to do with the drinks and the sun.  if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  I loved it, and wish i can do it again LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
