That is really disappointing to hear as Chandlyn did a wonderful job with my wedding (with exception of flowers). She just had a way of calming you.

It will be interesting to see the upcoming reviews and how things went. Best wishes ladies :). I hope your day's are everything you hoped for and this change in co-ordinators doesn't spoil such an important day for you.

Try not to stress..

I just wanted to let future ROR brides know that I received an email today from Antonette at ROR.

This is such a huge relief as I have not heard from them in a month - I am just happy that I am still in the system somewhere.

Leaving on Friday! I am going to find a WC on Saturday if it's the last thing I do! I have printed out all my correspondence in case we have to start planning from the beginning again.

Actually we used BOTH! I brought my IPOD down just in case they didnt have certain songs and I had the DJ control everything. He switched back and forth... he was really good! And it was nice not to have to worry about it.

I just walked write up to the office door and opened it and walked upstairs and she was there! Everytime. I wouldn't worry.... you'll see her

I have alot of guests arriving on different days. I wanted to be able to tell them before hand where to meet for a welcome dinner and since Tina won't respond I can't pre-plan anything.
They arranged the welcome dinner like the day before and then had to change the number (add more) the morning of. I wouldnt worry about... it's not hard to set up. THey do it at St. Annes and all they do is push tables together.

I just posted my ROR review with LOTS of pictures!! It was amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Antonette the wedding planner!

If you have any questions please send them my way!

Thank you soooo much for this post JesseLyn10....you have no idea how much this calms the nerves that things are now running smoother with the new WC Antonette!  As someone who is definitely a planner (wish I was one of the more "laidback brides"), it is difficult to remain calm when you receive slooooow responses from the ROR.  Glad your special day went amazing!

Hi ladies,

I was told Chandlyn was fired for pocketing money from the cash payments she requested.  Apparently NOTHING needs to be paid in cash and Chandlyn was telling people otherwise.  She was also giving inaccurate prices.

Tina Dunbar was useless and pretty much ruined the way our wedding unfolded.

There are new WCs at ROR.  Tina's gone.  Hopefully they'll get their @h*t together now!

I've demanded to be compensated and was informed yesterday that I will be contacted 'very soon' from someone at RIU.  I would suggest that anyone who had problems on their wedding day should send their concerns to: customerserviceamericas01@riu.com weddings@riu.com faguilar@riu.com and clubhotel.ochorios@riu.com.  I had to email all of them several times to get a response but it finally worked!

Good luck to all the future ROR brides!

Wow! Thats crazy! I guess even as good a job as she did on past brides wedding, there is justification for her termination. That really really sucks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
