Timeshare presentations for discounts? Anyone?

A saw on someones website that they were giving thier guests an option to sit through a 90 minute timeshare presentation in order to recieve 50% off hotel at an AI. Has anyone of you heard of this or know about this? I have searched everywhere on the forum and found nothing.

 

I don't want to put my guests through that torture yet now that I thinking about it it wouldn't be a bad deal for us if we had the time before our guests arrived.

Yikes! I'm not sure that sounds like a good idea. Is the presentation before they go on the trip or after they get to the resort? Those timeshare presentations always last over the time allotted and the people are so pushy and not fun. Do you really want your guests to feel that pressured and put off during your wedding? And do they really get 50% off the AI... or is it some coupon type junk that just adds up to 50% off?

If you truly get 50% off your stay, and it's something you could do before your actual vacation, then it may be worth looking into. The 50% off and the extra benefits like 20% off at the spa could make it worth your time, but I'd be very skeptical and check it out thoroughly before committing to anything. And if I had to go to the presentation while I was actually on vacation, that would be a deal breaker for me. I don't want to waste my vacay time listening to their sales pitch.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
