Underwater/Nature TTD by del Sol photography

Recommended Posts

We just received our slideshow for our underwater and "nature" TTD session.

Yipee!!

I was about to drive back to work from my lunch break, when I got an email alert on my phone from Del Sol stating that our pictures were almost ready and that they had a slideshow up for us. I was so excited and couldn't wait to get back to work to see the pictures!!

We decided to do an underwater TTD because we fell in love with their underwater pictures and wanted an opportunity to have a few pictures in water. The concept of being underwater in our wedding attire was so crazy, and we are very glad that we can now say “we did itâ€! I was so nervous...swimming in a wedding dress in a cenote was unheard of to us. It looks so easy to just float in the water and look peaceful and dreamy but it is not easy! The water is freezing cold and extremely challenging, but like always Matt & Sol took some amazing pictures without the dorky expressions on our faces!

Matt took us into a open air hole that only had water and a few rocks in beneath the water. In order to get there, we had to swim under a cave ledger (I am not sure if I am explaining this correctly. You just have to be there to see what I am talking about). Boy, I was terrified! So terrified that I didn't want to go in there at first but we did! There were bats flying everywhere. It was MAD crazy. We saw two beautiful lights coming from holes above. Too bad the lighting wasn't enough to take pictures there. It would have been awesome.

Matt & Sol are mad cool and very generous! We mentioned to them that we didn't get an opportunity to go to Tulum and get our pictures taken there like we originally wanted. So they took us to this cool secluded spot that had a small ruin in Playa del Carmen. How cool is that?? The Ruin was small and amazing, and had these really HUGE ants crawling all over it!!! The awesome part was that Roque and I were able to touch and get in the small ruin versus Tulum it was not allowed or permitted.

Definitely, they are the ones to go with if you want an out of this world experience. :) We will never forget ours. Thank you a million, Matt & Sol!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
