hahah I totally agree..being patient when trying to plan something is soooo frustrating!! When you say the Riu's arent booking yet what did you mean exactly? I was able to book my wedding and get a few quotes from the travel agents but we've put things on hold because since its so far in advance the quotes are higher then if we waited a bit.

I can't wait to have everything booked so I can relax ahhhhhh!

babycakes - I was told that I'm a month early to get quotes from the RIUs because they haven't signed the contracts yet? Maybe this is the travel company my TA was referring to and not the actual resorts. I need to book by November since we book our time off at work at that time, so hopefully I can still get a good deal. Still waiting on some quotes- arrrghh! lol

Elisamarie- yes I do believe it depends on the travel company. I tired to get quotes from several travel agents and some were able to provide them while others said it was to early. With the quotes I did manage to get the TA told me that the flight dates are subject to change so I think we are going to wait till November and then have them re-quote so we can ensure the dates dont change.

I hate waiting lol!! Let me know how your other quotes compare to the Riu's :)

RIU Santa Fe - Oct. 15, 2011

 

Very excited!  I have received a ton of info from the WC and a bride who just got married there.  PM me if you want info. 

 

I have also received rates from our travel agent...she actually expects them to go down a bit or upgrade everyone when they book. As of now room rates are (Per Person, based on Double Occupancy) 3 Nights - $440 5 Nights - $640 7 Nights - $840 **Flight rates are not yet available.

 

I also have a great contact for the Passport wedding invites (you can see some of her work on this site).  I should be getting the finished product in the mail very shortly!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
