Key West Wedding--Restaurant/Reception Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone! I am brand new to the site and would love to hear some suggestions from all of you. My fiance and I decided on a beach wedding in Key West (Smather's Beach). Now we are trying to decide where to go afterwards for a small dinner party. There will only be about 10 adults and 3 children (ages 2, 4, 7). We have never been to Key West before, so we do not have any first hand dining experience there. Basically, we would love to find somewhere fun with a nice bar, not too quiet or too fancy-- because of the young children--we want to relax and be comfortable, and good food. My wedding planner has Conch Republic Seafood and Rum Barrel listed on her website, any of you been to those places?? Open to all suggestions! Thank you :)

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Im getting married in Key West Aug. 9th. We are also doing the ceremony on Smather's Beach. We decided on a dinner reception at Louie's Backyard. I like it because we could have the whole upstairs area to ourselves, it was close to our hotels and the beach and it was a beautiful place. I also visited the Conch Republic and it was a fun location, but it was too loud and busy for my taste. The Commordore Waterfront is another great place that I looked at. There are so many great places it's hard to pick just one. The roof top cafe is another nice place and with a group your size you could reserve the whole patio for some privacy and a great view. Where are you staying while in Key West? Good luck with the planning.

Congrats on you Key West wedding....

I chose Conch Republic Seafood as my reception site because the food is great and the sunsets on the marina are breath taking. They also have awesome mojitos ; ). Graff and Jennifer are great to work with and are very flexible.

Hi there! We are also looking into where to do our Reception dinner for our Key West wedding. Rooftop Cafe and Conch Republic are both top spots on my list. I have eaten at both and they are both very good. I've heard about Louie's. Not sure about Rum Barrel. One spot i really wanted to look into was the Crowne Plaza. They have an awesome Rooftop view and fun happy hours with amazing sunset views. Not sure how expensive it would be though. With such a small group you could go to any restaurant really. Margaritaville is so touristy, i would avoid it.

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
